Bring on 2016!

Heyyyy Everyone,

It's been over a month for a post, I feel so bad for this, I hate knowing that I am leaving my blog. I honestly didn't think it would be this hard to keep it up whilst travelling. Not only am I struggling to find time to sit down and write posts, whenever I do the internet isn't good enough to load them. I know what your thinking, excuses excuses. Well all I can do is apologise and say I am gong to try harder, I promise!!

I had planned to do a 'new years resolutions' post, but when I sat down and was trying to think of things I wanted to improve on for 2016 I realised my life doesn't really need much improvement at the moment. It's not often in life you can say that, so I am embracing it by not setting myself any firm resolutions. I had a few ideas of small changes I fancied giving a go, but I am certainly not going to punish myself if I fail miserably at them.

The first thing I have decided to do and can happily say I have successfully done now for 13 days, is not eat meat. I have not given up fish so I have been eating a lot seafood, but it has also forced me to eat so much more vegetables, and that was the plan really.
Secondly, I have tried to cut out bread as much as possible. Whilst travelling it is very easy to eat toast for breakfast, sandwich for lunch, and pasta with garlic bread for dinner, quick and easy meals but before you know it your eating 3 loafs a bread a week (not good on the waistline). So far the only thing I have eaten is wraps a few times and a pitta bread once. I feel so much better for not eating bread and if I can keep it going for a few months I'll feel so happy about myself, and I'm sure my insides will too!!
Finally, I brought a diary. I have always tried to keep diaries since I was little but lets be honest you do it for a week and then completely forget. So I decided to buy the 'line a day for 3 years', and I have challenged myself to keep making sure it is filled in every few days!

2016 for me is going to be mostly spent in Australia as I am staying here until the end of August, and what a great way to spend the majority of the year! I'm looking forward to spending the year exploring the country and learning new things about myself everyday! As always I will do my best to blog and vlog as much of my experiences as I can throughout the year! Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin so you don't miss a blog, or Subscribe on YouTube so you don't miss a video!

What exciting things do you have to look forward to during 2016?

Ciao EmmaJessica <3
