First Month in Melbourne

Heyyyy Everyone,

It's been a month and I haven't done any blogging or vlogging... I am currently sat on the naughty chair and am punishing myself with no chocolate tonight! It has been pretty hectic and time is flying. I wanted to write a quick blog just to summarise what I have been up to because I have failed to vlog. I had all good intentions to make weekly videos to keep my family, friends and anyone who is interested in my trip updated, but it hasn't worked out quite how I planned. In my plans to start vlogging the moment I got out here I didn't take into consideration jet lag and also settling in. Jet lag hit me hard, I was struggling to keep my eyes open past 3 in the afternoon on my first few days and felt like all I was doing was sleeping (not very interesting vlog footage). Settling in was something I hadn't considered because it is not something you normally do when you go on holiday, but as I plan to be out in Australia for a long time I needed to do boring things like get a bank account, apply for a tax number, get a job and look for a place to live (again not the most interesting thing for you to watch). Then to make things worst last week I got a horrendous cold, I would go as far to say I got the flu! I couldn't go more than 5 minutes without having a coughing fit and sniffing into a tissue for a good 3 days, I just wasn't really in the mood to put a camera in my face and sitting down to write a blog would of been difficult since we have no wifi where we are staying (this will change when we move into our flat YAY!).

However, never fear, all is now on track. I got all them boring things done and dusted. I am now currently working two jobs and we move into our flat tomorrow! All very exciting stuff for me but again not the most interesting video footage. I have been doing a bit of filming here and there when we have been out for the odd afternoon or when we went to the sea-life center, but it doesn't really make a proper video. Maybe I will go through it over the next few days and put it into a little short montage. The best footage is going to start when we start travelling Australia a bit more and I absolutely pinky promise I will make some awesome videos when that time comes.

Overall I have settled in here so well and am already looking at not only extending my stay but doing my farm work to get my second year visa! I miss my family of course, I just wish they could fly over here to see how much fun it is!  Anyway, that's all for now folks, keep an eye on my YouTube channel for that little montage!
